Wicked Oak BarbeQue, a smokehouse off North Florida Avenue in Seminole Heights, announced Monday that it will appear on the current season of Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.”
The restaurant shared the news in a Facebook post, saying it had “been keeping a bit of a secret.” The episode airs Friday, Nov. 6, at 9 p.m. on the Food Network.
“It was an honor to have Guy Fieri in the Wicked Oak kitchen, and we can’t wait for y’all to see what we cooked up for him,” the restaurant said.
National airtime is hard to come by for a single local restaurant, and Wicked Oak earned its slot by cooking, serving customers, and winning attention one plate at a time.
Wicked Oak is the 10th Tampa restaurant featured on the show since it debuted in 2007. Four appeared in 2011: California Tacos To Go, Tampa Bay Brewing Company, and Tampa Taco Bus in March, followed by Danny’s All American Diner in November.
The list shows no Tampa features between late 2011 and May 2026. Since then, the show has featured six, including Wicked Oak:
