County leaders are encouraging residents to participate in a regional flood survey designed to identify areas that experience chronic flooding, infrastructure challenges, and other stormwater-related concerns. Officials say local feedback will help planners better understand conditions on the ground and prioritize future mitigation projects.
The survey is part of a broader Regional Stormwater Evaluation that examines how heavy rainfall and recent hurricanes have affected neighborhoods, drainage systems, and waterways throughout the region. The assessment aims to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate stormwater needs, and recommend improvements to reduce future flood risks.
Officials say public participation is critical because residents often have firsthand knowledge of flooding patterns that may not be reflected in existing data.
