Commuters traveling the Courtney Campbell Causeway should plan ahead this week, as the roadway will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday.
All lanes on the causeway will shut down from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both nights, weather permitting.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of an ongoing pedestrian overpass project in Clearwater.
Drivers will need to use alternate routes, including State Road 580 and the Howard Frankland Bridge. Warning signs and message boards will be posted to help guide motorists through the area. Officials are urging drivers to stay alert for construction workers in the work zone.
