A major new entertainment venue is coming to downtown Clearwater, with Texas-based EVO Entertainment announcing plans for an 83,000-square-foot family entertainment center at the corner of Cleveland Street and Myrtle Avenue.

The development represents an approximately $50 million private investment and will serve as EVO Entertainment’s flagship location.

At the heart of the project is a seven-screen multiplex anchored by what the company says will be the largest cinema screen in the world, spanning more than 130 feet in width. Every auditorium will feature Dolby Vision projection and Dolby Atmos sound — a first for any multiplex anywhere.

Beyond the theaters, the complex will include bowling, arcade gaming, laser tag, dining, and other interactive entertainment, designed to draw visitors throughout the day and evening.

“We are thrilled to bring EVO Entertainment to Clearwater and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime transformation taking shape in downtown Clearwater,” said Mitch Roberts, Founder and CEO of Elevate Entertainment Group.

The project is being developed in partnership with the Cleveland Street Alliance, which is leading a broader effort to restore and redevelop properties along the Cleveland Street corridor, including the rehabilitation of several historic buildings dating to the early 1900s.

A construction timeline or projected opening date was not included in the announcement. More information is available at clevelandstreetalliance.com.
