Three area beaches in the Tampa Bay region were ranked among the top beaches in the United States in TripAdvisor’s 2026 Travelers’ Choice “Best of the Best” list, the travel platform’s annual ranking based on millions of traveler reviews and ratings. The beaches recognized from the region are:
- Clearwater Beach in Pinellas County, noted for its wide shorelines, clear waters and vibrant visitor amenities. It was one of the highest-ranked U.S. beaches on the list.
- Siesta Beach, known for its very fine quartz sand and calm Gulf of Mexico waters, also placed among the top beaches nationally.
- Honeymoon Island State Park Beach in north Tampa Bay, recognized for natural beach settings and scenic walking areas.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards reflect sustained positive feedback from visitors over the past year, with rankings determined by traveler reviews that assess factors such as scenery, cleanliness, and overall experience.
Tourism officials say the multiple appearances of Tampa Bay beaches on the list highlight the region’s continued appeal as a coastal destination for both national and international travelers.
Across the state, Florida also placed multiple beaches in TripAdvisor’s national rankings, underscoring its broader reputation as a leading beach destination in the United States.
