The Florida State Fair returns to Tampa Thursday for a 12-day run through Feb. 16 with the theme “America’s Sunniest Celebration” honoring the nation’s 250th birthday.
The fair opens with discounted admission promotions throughout its run, including Heroes Day on opening day offering free admission to law enforcement, first responders, active or retired military, medical personnel and teachers with valid identification. A new opening day promotion gives all paid ticket holders a free single-day return ticket valid Feb. 6-16.
Other special pricing days include $5 Freedom Friday on Feb. 6, $3 Thursday on Feb. 12, and One Great Price day on Feb. 10 featuring $25 admission with unlimited rides. Family Day on Feb. 13 and Salute to America Day on Feb. 16 offer free admission for those 17 and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
Regular admission prices range from $7 to $16 depending on age and day of attendance. Unlimited ride armbands cost $35 on weekdays and $45 on weekends and holidays. Seniors 55 and older receive weekday discounts.
The fairgrounds at 4800 U.S. Highway 301 North will feature new food offerings including Dubai chocolate funnel cake, birria street taco pizza, and several items themed around America’s 250th birthday. Entertainment includes live music performances, circus shows, magic acts, pig racing, and a nightly Star-Spangled Fireworks Spectacular.
Agricultural exhibits will showcase Florida’s farming heritage, featuring livestock barns, educational displays, including a cattle ranching museum, and interactive attractions such as camel and pony rides. The fair also launched a mobile app allowing visitors to access maps, schedules, and plan their visit.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with extended 10 a.m. opening times Friday through Sunday and on Presidents’ Day.
