The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is shifting into a higher gear next year with the addition of a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

NASCAR announced Wednesday that the trucks will compete on February 28, marking the first time the series has ever raced on a street course.

“This is an exciting addition to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg,” said Kim Green, co-owner, chairman and CEO of Green Savoree Racing Promotions. “Fans can look forward to INDYCAR qualifying and now the historic debut of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday, before the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season opener on Sunday.”

Tickets for the 2026 Grand Prix go on sale this fall, with updates available at www.gpstpete.com.
