Florida welcomed 34.4 million visitors in the second quarter of 2025, setting a new record for the busiest spring travel season in state history, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced.
Domestic travelers made up the bulk of the numbers, with 31.5 million U.S. visitors — about 91.5% of the total. International tourism also grew, with overseas visitors up 11.4% year-over-year at 2.3 million, alongside 640,000 Canadian travelers.
“Florida continues to lead the nation as the top travel destination,” DeSantis said, pointing to the state’s attractions, weather, and public safety policies.
VISIT FLORIDA President and CEO Bryan Griffin credited the strong tourism growth to state leadership and ongoing efforts to highlight Florida’s family-friendly attractions, natural sites, and cultural destinations.
