Florida has been named the second-most fun state in the U.S. for 2025, according to a new WalletHub report.

The Sunshine State scored high thanks to its abundance of restaurants, amusement parks, arcades, and music festivals. WalletHub ranked all 50 states using 26 factors tied to affordability and entertainment, from movie ticket prices to nightlife options and national park access.

“Living in one of the most fun states can boost your mental, physical, and emotional health by offering a wide range of activities, both indoors and outdoors,” said WalletHub analyst Chip Lup. “These states encourage people to stay active, socialize, and maximize their leisure time.”

Florida stood out with the fourth-most attractions per capita, the seventh-best arts and entertainment variety, and the nation’s top number of marinas. It also boasts the second-longest shoreline and ranks 12th for overall weather. On average, Floridians spend nearly $2,300 each year on recreation, the study found.

California claimed the top spot as the most fun state, while West Virginia came in last at No. 50.
