Florida drivers are seeing the cheapest gas prices in two months, according to AAA.
As of Sunday, the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded was $2.94—a drop of 19 cents over the past 10 days.
“Florida drivers may feel some relief from the recent downturn at the pump, but that break may not last much longer,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesperson for AAA—The Auto Club Group. “Gas prices in Florida often follow a pattern of falling for about 10 days, then spiking by as much as 20 cents. With oil and gasoline futures climbing again, it’s likely we’ll see upward pressure on retail prices in the coming days.”
Crude oil prices in the U.S. have risen 4% in the past two weeks, and gasoline futures are up by 10 cents per gallon.
Sebring was among the most expensive spots in Florida at $3.02 per gallon, while Crestview-Fort Walton Beach reported the lowest average at $2.83. Hillsborough County’s average price stood at $2.92.
AAA also cited renewed Houthi attacks in the Red Sea as a growing threat to global fuel supply chains, raising concerns about maritime safety and energy transport stability.
