The beloved Thunderbird Beach Resort on Treasure Island is being reimagined, but its heart remains in the stories and memories of the guests who’ve called it a home away from home.
For decades, families, couples, and friends have gathered at the iconic beachfront destination, soaking up the sun and making memories—many over a drink at the famous Ikki Woo Woo’s tiki bar. Now, as the resort undergoes a major rebuild, Thunderbird is inviting past guests to share their favorite moments and photos as part of a special tribute to its legacy.
Guest submissions will be showcased on Thunderbird’s social media channels and included in a digital guestbook and photo album—a celebration of the experiences that have shaped the resort’s unique history.
How to Share Your Thunderbird Memory:
Upload your story or photo at www.thunderbirdflorida.com, or email it to letsgetsocial@thunderbirdflorida.com.
Whether it’s a beachfront wedding, a sunset cheers, or a funny family vacation story, every memory helps keep the spirit of Thunderbird alive.
As the property transforms, these shared moments will continue to unite the Thunderbird community—because while buildings may change, the memories last forever.
