For a short time, Florida-bound travelers can snag discounted Amtrak fares.
Amtrak is rolling out reduced prices for its Auto Train service, which transports both passengers and their vehicles from Lorton, Virginia—right outside Washington, D.C.—to Sanford, Florida.
“Whether you’re chasing the sun, sand, and theme parks down south or venturing to the Northeast’s many hotspots, the Auto Train offers a seamless ride. With fares starting at $95 plus the cost of your car, there’s no better time to plan your getaway,” Amtrak announced.
Adult tickets begin at $39, while kids ride for as little as $19.50.
To lock in the deal, travelers must book between Tuesday, March 18, and Wednesday, March 26, for trips scheduled from March 19 through July 31.
Amtrak highlights that the route spares travelers 900 miles of driving, along with the associated fuel costs and vehicle wear.
