After being closed for months due to significant damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton, local favorite, Fort DeSoto Park in Pinellas County, is set to fully reopen. The park has been gradually reopening in phases, with dedicated crews and volunteers working tirelessly to clean up and repair the damage caused by Helene’s powerful surge and Milton’s fierce winds.

On February 17, the popular North Beach will reopen, marking the full reopening of Fort DeSoto Park to the public.

Please note that as of January 1, daily parking fees at the park have increased to $6 per vehicle, though the prices for annual and six-month passes remain unchanged.
