Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference at Florida International University in Miami on Wednesday, addressing the escalating property insurance costs in Florida. He announced upcoming rate reductions for property insurance policyholders in South Florida, as well as statewide reductions in auto insurance premiums.

Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Kevin Guthrie, and Commissioner of the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, Michael Yaworsky, also discussed the policy changes during the event.
