The Tampa Bay Rays have released new details regarding their relocation to George Steinbrenner Field for the upcoming season.

Steinbrenner Field, traditionally the spring training venue for the New York Yankees, has sparked some debate over responsibilities for certain upgrades. The Rays are now clarifying these arrangements.

The Rays will occupy the field following the conclusion of the Yankees’ spring training schedule.

Due to Hurricane Milton damaging Tropicana Field’s roof on October 9th, Tampa Bay is in search of a new venue.

Some enhancements to the dugouts, visiting clubhouse, and press box might be necessary to comply with Major League Baseball’s standards.

The Yankees will continue to use the Steinbrenner Field pavilion for non-baseball events and maintain the right to schedule events like concerts or soccer matches during times when the Rays are away.

The Rays will cover the costs for upgrades to Field 2, where the Tampa Tarpons will play their minor league games.

Regarding branding, the Rays will have the opportunity to rebrand the stadium for their fans post-spring training.

Both teams are set to negotiate modifications or reductions in the existing Yankees signage.

The only confirmed detail so far is that the statue of George M. Steinbrenner at the main entrance will stay put.
