Tampa’s vibrant events, diverse dining scene, and plentiful recreational options have earned it a spot among the top 20 most fun cities in the U.S., according to a recent WalletHub analysis.
The study evaluated major U.S. metropolitan areas across numerous factors, including the number of attractions, restaurants per capita, and available recreational activities. Tampa secured the 17th spot on the list, thanks to its abundance of festivals, fitness centers, and eateries per capita.
Three other Florida cities ranked higher than Tampa: Orlando (#2), Miami (#3), and Fort Lauderdale (#11). Topping the list as the most fun city in America was Las Vegas.
“Some of the most fun cities also double as the country’s top tourist destinations, like Las Vegas, Orlando, and Miami, but they’re much more than that,” said WalletHub Analyst Chip Lupo. “These cities offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for all interests, from sports and theaters to arcades, along with a wide selection of restaurants. The best cities ensure year-round fun at affordable prices, benefiting both wallets and mental health.”
