Pinellas County reports its contractor is on track to complete the first pass of storm debris collections in unincorporated areas before Thanksgiving. Following the holiday, the contractor will begin its second and final pass.

Once a road is cleared, a separate monitoring contractor will take photos. If no debris remains, the County will consider the debris collection on that street completed. This final round is expected to be finished by the end of December.

Important Guidance for Residents

  • Final Pass Debris Placement: Ensure all storm debris is at the curb by December 2 for the final pass. Once a road is cleared, the contractor will not return.
  • Eligible Debris Only: Only place eligible storm debris at the curb. Ineligible debris, such as bagged items or non-storm-related debris, will not be collected. Accepted items include vegetative debris, construction and demolition debris, and household appliances, which must be placed in separate piles by category.
  • Service Status: To see which communities are currently being serviced, visit www.Pinellas.gov/debris and scroll to the pickup locations section in the middle of the page.

As of midday Thursday, November 21, Pinellas County had collected nearly a half-million cubic yards of storm debris. For more information, view the storm debris management dashboard at Pinellas County Storm Debris Cleanup.
