The countdown begins! The Knight Parade, along with other major holiday events in Tampa, is on the horizon. The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago is bringing their “Knight Parade” back to Ybor City’s iconic 7th Avenue on Saturday, Feb. 8, for an electrifying night rich in Latin heritage and tradition. Presented by MOR-TV and co-sponsored by the City of Tampa, this nighttime spectacle showcases Tampa’s cultural roots and invites revelers to partake in an unforgettable celebration.
Leading the 2025 parade as Grand Marshal will be Steve Wilkos of “The Steve Wilkos Show” on MOR-TV. Known for his straightforward style, Wilkos brings a commanding presence shaped by his 12-year tenure with the Chicago Police Department and his television career, which began as the head of security on “The Jerry Springer Show.” Attendees can watch him guide vibrant floats, marching bands, and local dignitaries down the avenue, filling the night with music, color, and excitement. The festivities start at 7 p.m., and MOR-TV will stream the event live at MOR-TV.com.
A Tampa Bay Tradition for 50 Years
Since 1974, the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago has organized the Knight Parade to celebrate Latin culture and fundraise for higher education. The Krewe’s Education Foundation has donated over $5 million in scholarships to help local students pursue their dreams at Tampa Bay colleges and universities.
At the upcoming Coronation Ball on Jan. 4, the Krewe will announce its new El Rey (King) and La Reina (Queen) alongside their royal court, who will join Wilkos in greeting the expected 100,000 spectators.
Additional sponsors, including Stepp’s Towing Services, will support the 2025 Knight Parade. Those interested in attending should reserve seats early and plan their medieval costumes.
