The Dalí Museum is launching an extraordinary new exhibition: “Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon.” This immersive audiovisual journey debuts Friday, November 1st in The Dalí Dome, celebrating the legendary band’s groundbreaking 1973 album.
The 42-minute experience combines mesmerizing 360-degree visuals with surround sound, creating a unique fusion of modern life themes and stunning cosmic views. Running on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through December 21st, 2024, this special exhibition complements the museum’s ongoing Dalí Alive 360° presentation, which continues during regular hours.
Museum Director Hank Hine draws parallels between the show and Salvador Dalí’s pioneering immersive art, which first wowed audiences at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. “We’re thrilled to introduce a new multisensory experience that uplifts and inspires our community,” says Hine.
The production represents a collaborative effort between NSC Creative and Aubrey Powell, Pink Floyd’s longtime creative partner. The Dalí Museum holds the distinction of being Florida’s exclusive venue for this unique experience, which is distributed by Montréal’s Fig55 with backing from the Québec Government Office in Miami.
Tickets begin at $20, and advance reservations are strongly encouraged. For scheduling details and tickets, visit www.TheDali.org/Floyd.
