Although some wind shear could impede its formation, there’s a chance it could develop just south of this shear, which might minimize its impact. Regardless of its exact nature, the upper-level steering flow is expected to direct this system toward Florida and eventually into the western Atlantic.

Meanwhile, Kirk and Leslie continue to churn in the Atlantic Ocean, but fortunately, neither poses a threat to any land areas. Another potential development area has emerged off the coast of Africa, though its chances of formation are currently low. However, it’s necessary to keep an eye on this one over time.
