According to officials, moderate concentrations of red tide have been observed near St. Pete Beach, Madeira Beach, and the Dunedin Causeway, while lower levels were detected off Pass-a-Grille, the Clearwater Intracoastal Waterway, and Honeymoon Island.

Residents finding dead fish near their properties can dispose of them with their regular waste. The timeline for improvements in red tide conditions remains uncertain.

To report fish kills, residents can use the FWC Reporter app, call (800) 636-0511, or submit a report online.

Authorities have stated that it is still unclear whether the current red tide bloom is connected to Hurricane Helene. Those cleaning their homes may experience respiratory issues if red tide levels rise significantly.
